stroked ls1

I was wondering if anyone could give me some dyno and track results on their stroked ls1. Also plz include what you have it stroked to. If anyone has results for an ls6 motor in a 98 camaro as well that would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: stroked ls1

stroked refers to increasing the distance the piston travels in the cyliinder in order to increase the displacement of the engine.

it is typically done by adding a different crankshaft.

you usually hear "bored and stroked" in which the diameter of the cylinder as well as increasing the lenght of the stroke. both of which increase the displacement of the engine.

take a standard small block 350, put a crank from a 400 small block and bore the cylinders .030" wider (or is it .060"... ) and you have the common 383 stroker engine.

there are way to many variable with stroked engines to get an idea of power and times.
and there isn't much difference between the LS1 and LS 6 block to make one have a significant hp advantage.

6.0L iron block twin turbo is what you need.

if you already have the ls1 block...yes

there is very little difference...at least to warrent buying a new block...unless yours is dead.
