Stock Injector Size?

Sorry for the dumb question but is the Stock Injectors for an LS1 the same as the Stock injector in an LT1.

I ask because a friend of mine is positive that his came with 18 lbs injectors.

I always thought that the LS1 had 24 lb injectors from the Factory like the LT1.

Thanks

the motors use different injectors...

the lt1 had 22? and 24 depending on the year

the ls1 has larger injectors but only at higher fuel pressure.. they are 26.5? and like 28?

you dont want to use a ls1 injector on a lt1 youl actually be goin down in size

OK... My buddy has a 98 Ram Air T/A.
Running Cam, ported stock heads, LS6 intake. And other stuff that I can't remember. (Sorry having a senior moment)

Car is seeing detonation due to lean condition at the top of the rpm band.

I think that he would be better off to run SVO 30 but some "Expert" is telling him that he has 18 from factory. And should go up to a 24

At present with the setup he has, Lunati (his cams manufactor) believes that he could be a mid to low 11 sec car.

Are 30's to high/low?

do you know that you have maxed out the injectors? just because you are lean doesn't mean you need bigger injectors, you need to find out the percent duty cycle the injectors are at, and Dave is correct, the LS1's came with 28s in 98/01/02, and 26 or 26.5 in 99/00, so the next logical step up would be to a set of 36/38 # unit's, and they are different from the LT1's, his "expert is full of ****, the only cars to come with 18's were either the V6's or the 305 tune port 3rd gen F-bodies, and i think they might have been 19's, if he wants to go bigger, tell him to get a set of 38 # Delphi, or SVO injectors, no problem swith them, Dave can actually sell ya a set.

Unfortunately, I don't know if the injector duty cycle is peaked out.
I agree with you about the "expert" not knowing much about the LS1 platform.
The problem is that all my experience is on my LT1 which is not a good comparison in this particular area. So I really don't have a leg to stand either. (Good thing you guys were here to ask, huh. )

I was pretty sure that the SVO were interchange able but I didn't tthink about the delphi.
Thanks for your help.
