I have a question what size pipe is the y-pipe, I pipe down to the muffler and exits ??

on my 2002 Z28, the Y-Pipe looks flat under the drivers side like GM just flattened it for ground clearence, is that 2.5 " ?? Also did Gm use 2.5 " or 3.0 " pipe for the I-Pipe ?? I think it is 3.0 but I am not too sure... Since a friend of mine says that since my y-pipe is 2.5 then my I pipe is 2.5... and I know the inlet pipe is 3.0"... Did the Ipipe stay 2.5 after the Y-pipe but when it curves up over the Rear End go into inlet of the muffler @ 3.0 " ??

It's 2.75 on the muffler inlet. 2.5 on the outlets. Seems logical that the intermediate should be 2.75 as well.

Thanks for the Information, another question I have, is the SLP Y-Pipe kind an oval(Flat Looking instead of round) shape like the stock ??
