Just ordered my cut-out...what can I expect?

Just ordered a 3in flowtech cut-out from www.ls1speed.com . Where should I put it to get the best performance out of it. What will it sound like with the cut-out uncapped. I would like it really loud loud loud. I had a '97 Z28 with straight pipes.....will it compare to that? Thanks for all the help.

i had a flowtech cut out put in yesterday. it is loud. in fact, it is almost too loud for me to bear on the highway.

makes my SS sound like a "real" muscle car.

Where did you have the cut-out placed?

right in front of the rear axle there is a straight pipe that runs towards the front of the car to the y pipe. the installer put it right there. i think it is called the intermediate pipe.

Any straight peice of pipe before the muffler will do. You might expect a couple hp but not much. Better than you would running off a catback.
