stock cubes?

I know that the LS1 is an aluminum blockbut I was just curious if they make an iron block LS1(aftermarket)? And if so who offers it.

Re: stock cubes?

there is the LSx based block that was put in the trucks...it's the 6.0L block.

most of the vendors sell them as stroker motors. 369s, 408s, 427s...

I'd do an LS2 before I went with an iron block.

Re: stock cubes?

true that, i was just curious if anyone ever did them

Actually I'm looking at the 408 iron block from TSP with PRC heads. Thier site claims 550+ rear wheel N/A and 800 on N2O. I would rather run an all motor with 550 rwhp, personal chioce thought

Dude, I told you about 40000 times. Check out Futral Motorsports. They are about 30-40 minutes away and build the best **** around.

I went there the other day to pick up my Vette and they had an LS1 TA on the lift.... I asked Allan "WTF is in that thing?" He smiled and said "A 605 rwhp solid-roller 434ci LS1"

Holy **** that is one hell of a beast. One thing is it his daily driver, mine is and I am also sure he paid a pretty penny for that from them!

I have been there a few times and they do have a nice shop set up out there.

If you want aftermarket. There is the new warhawk LS based block.

454 Cui for 2k less than a C5R block. Its aluminum but will outperform any iron LS blocks.
