That is a good start. To make those specs meaningful, do you or anyone else, have either/both lobe centerline specs, or numbers in regards to advance/retard of the cam? This info is needed to establish open/close points, which are the crux of any cam specs.

Doesn't need to be BlackZ28 to answer my post. Does anyone have the info requested above, which is necessary, to determine the critical open/close points for that cam? Thanks.

LOL who takes that kind of precision measurement on a stock cam??

Best bet is to call a GM tech and find out, or send a private message to Injuneer, he seems to like this kind of a challenge.

Not asking anyone to measure a cam for that info of cam specs. What I had previously implied is, the duration/LSA (or LCA) and excuse me... lift, is but a PART of the necessary info needed to compare cams. Why seek that info? Well my 4¢ worth.... Without the requested info of note, it is pointless to attempt to compare cams. Without that info, it is not possible to determine the open/close points. Without the open/close points, a person does not know what they have, in a cam. PLUS, 'plugging' necessary specs into available software, requires a valve closing point, without which, makes std. specs posted, basically.... useless. My reasoning is, any (good) link/source that discloses the two 'popular' specs (duration and LSA), would understand this, so, would be expected to also provide one of the two aforementioned requested specs as well. Why disclose just a part of the specs? I honestly, do not know how anyone can accurately/realistically, compare cams without open/close specs. The LCA (or LSA) is AFAIC, an result, not a cause, upon closer examination of (enuf) cams. With identical duration and LCA, but with different open/close points, two seemingly identical cams, can be worlds apart.

Anyway, I was hoping, that any of those that posted the 'popular' specs, obtained from whatever source, may have that extra info (from their source) at their disposal, as well, and be willing to post it. This (sub) forum, that has posted L(S)x specs, in the past, is this one. What better place to start with, to request the additional info?

http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=213148

both factory and "precise" specs are obtainable from there.
