Unhappy pissing power steering fluid

I need some help. I was driving to work today and lost my power steering. When I got to where I was going I opened the hood to check the fluid level and noticed there was fluid all over the engine compartment. I made it home and bought some fluid on the way since I was empty. I filled the resevior half way and started the truck. It was pissing fluid out the vent hole on the resevior and emptied itself out again. I know its a truck but the thing is that I did an engine swap and put a LT1 in my chevy pickup. I have bought a power steering pump and resevior from streetlegal performance. I have been driving it for about a year with no problems until now. I appreciate any help you can give.

Ok this is the deal. I have bought a brand new pump and steering box. The fluid is still being forced out the resivior and the wheels are locked in one position. The do not turn at all unless I jack it up then they turn with no problem. Anyone with ideas let me know.

Re: pissing power steering fluid

Did you put new hoses on it? Maybe one is collapsed internally and causing fluid backpressure.

The hoses are brand new braided hoses and they still look fine.
