according to that site, I pulled a 4.77 0-60 when I first got the 6 speed car. hardly accurate but maybe a good place to be optimistic.. I would say add .3-.5 to its estimates.

It is simply plugging in numbers. He states it maybe off a couple of tenths...so it might be faster also.

I hardly doubt my car running 7.5@91.47 MPH with a 1.65 60' is doing 0-60 MPH around 4 seconds.

Yeah, I don't know what bozo would get 5.8 out of an LS1. I remember that Motor Trend got that out of a 2001 SS 6spd along w/ a 13.9@102 for a 1/4. Then I stopped reading their magazine when I see rediclous results. LT1's will do about 5.4-5.7 and LS1's I would say AVERAGE 5.1. Anyone with proper driving skills in an M6 can get into the 4's with an LS1. Thats a fact.

This discussion brings me back to 4 weeks ago when I had the oppourtunity to drive (2) 04' Corvette Z06's at a GM track open to the public. I was standing in line and some guy asked me what these ran 0-60 and I said that GM rated them @ 3.9. He laughed and said "BS". Immediately I knew what kind goof I was talking to. I told him to put a pair of slicks on that thing and I would do a 3.5 showroom stock. He just looked at me.

Now thats some funny *** sh*t
I guess motor trend also said that stock SS went 13.1 and WS6 went 13.5 on a 1/4 mile due to better looking chrome stock rims

LOL...dont that make you mad when they do such a ****ty test , I got archive test's of LT1's from motertrend saying that the 94 formula run's a 15.4 they ran it w/a 95 Z28 that ran a 14.3 same damn car same setup . I have seen bone stock LT1's run a 13.7-13.9 . Theya are supposed to have professional drivers testing them to !!!!! If i ever ran a 15+in a 4th gen 6 speed i would have to retire form the muscle car biz....

Yeah. You expect clean numbers from a national magazine, and then you see stupidity instead. Also, I noticed that every time it seems that they get a worse time in the Pontiac. Now, how the hell is that possible! A while back I was watching Motor Trend TV and they were testing some special Firebird. I believe it was that Hurst version with the gold circle in the hood. Came with Borla exhaust, shifter and other things stock. During the tests they set up this expensive eqiupment and then put a bonehead behind the wheel. Instead of launching the car properly the driver dumped the clutch at like 3K and burned thru 1st and 2nd, for a 0-60 and 1/4 mile time. Now come on man, WTF.

No...think about it. I am not going to be gaining over 30 mph in 3 a little over 3 seconds past 60 MPH. I am in third gear by the time I pass the 1/8 marker.
