stock 0-60 on 01 SS?

does anyone know the factory rating for the 0-60 mph time on a 2001 SS? I am almost positive it is 4.7 seconds but I just want to verify. Thanks.

I thought it was between 5.1 seconds and 5.8 seconds?

i could be wrong but i dont think ive ever seen anyone RATE an 01 SS at 4.7......i think its more like 5.1 or 5.2 but not below 5. with some traction it could probably go 4.7 in reality....

I have seen a lot of 5 flats stock, but 4.7 is a little too low.

4.9 seconds is the 0-60 time that SLP quotes for the 01-02 (SLP cat-back) SSs.
The 2002 SLP brochure says CAR and Driver got below 5 seconds in its July 2001 issue.

With traction, I could see a stock LS1 car going 0-60 in the high 4 second range.

Traction is just a myth for most of us, though.

LT1's are in the high 5's, In all of the old MT and Chevy material they were already putting the early SS at a 0-60 of under 5 seconds.

My LT1 was doing 4.6's.. On street tires.. 4.9-5.1 with a passenger..

My LS1 does it in 5.2 most of the time.. Now that I have the Nittos broken in, maybe a 4.9 or better could be had.. Time to break out the G-Tech again..

Motor Trend or Car and Driver said the Camaro SS went 0-60 in 5.5 seconds, and the Trans Am WS6 went 0-60 in 4.8 seconds due to better traction.

I saw a road test in car and driver where a bone stock camaro "2001" ran a 0-60 in 4.7 seconds . And it was a convertable . Must have been weather permitting but they also tested a mustang and it ran a 6.6 "2001 also " BTW it was an automatic

I have alot of early year road tests in my mags . LT1's had a huge variable in tests between years and magazines . The fastes I saw was a 5.2 " camaro 93 6speed " slowest was as 6.3 " formula automatic 94 "
