Unhappy Starter problems?

My starter has started dragging lately. At first I thought the battery needed to be charge, but when I hooked it up to the charger it showed it was good. I was wondering if any of you have had to replace your starter and how many miles were on it when you did. Thanks for any help.

Do not leap to the conclusion that you need a starter. Check the condition of the wires first. You probably do need one, but better to check things out first.
