Opening up the bottom of the box so the engine can breathe better might provide some benefit because the car can breathe easier though.

would this work on an SS? I looks like it would definently help a z28. I know the SS sccop isn't the most effective form of induction, but can they work toghether?

the kit includes a piece of weatherstripping in which you use to seal your air box opening. SSRA
