After my cam change I had my car (99) tuned with LS1 edit. This year I want to do a gear change. Can I recalibrate the speedo with the hypertech without screwing up my tune? Thanks

 

yea, it wont mess with your air/fuel or anything.

I think when you plug it in, it will ask you if you want to change the options before you "tune" the computer. After you say, "yes I want to make changes," you can tell it not to install the engine tuning and then change the rev limiter, shift firmness, gear ratios, tire height, etc. If you want, I'll walk you through it. Just let me know.

 

Did you have the LS1 Edit tuning done at a shop, or did you do it yourself? Edit should be able to compensate for gear changes as well. If you're planning on buying a Hypertech, why not just bring your car back to the shop and have them plug in and change the speedo for you.....probably wouldn't charge much to make that simple change?

Yeah it will ask you if you want the hypertech to tune it or if you want to pick from the list of options you want to change. So you can just change what you want to tire size, and speed rating, shift firmness and gear changes if any. Also temp for fans.
