SEE MY LATEST RESPONSE/QUESTION. PICKED UP A SLP DUAL/DUAL

 

I'm running Macs w/carsound cats and a 4" Mufflex w/crossflow Spintech. It sounded nice but relatively quiet inside. I took the tip extensions off (actually 1 fell off so I removed the other) and it sounds mean, but not overly loud. Just has more burble and a little rasp. I've gotten compliments on the sound from Ford guys so it isn't just me who likes it.

The Spintech has a nice mellow tone w/out the hollow metallic sound of a Flow. Edelbrock also has a spin type muffler now.

 

Ok, picked up a SLP dual/dual catback.

To those that have that with the Macs and ORY how raspy is it? I did searches on other boards and it "seems" there is little to no rasp.

Just looking for more first hand experiences.

I have the slp dual/dual exhaust which came on my SS, it's a lot quieter than the borla I had on my 94Z28. I call it the stealth assasin sound . It will probably be good for me as far as noise levels when I get my Qtps put on, so essentially this exhaust is a compromise between performance and moderate/reasonable sound levels.

 

yeah, i agree. mine came with it stock as well. pretty nasty sounding but not too loud at all.

 

I've heard a car with the dual/dual, ORP, LT's and cam only. Sounded mellow, in a good way.

It never sounds like real life but it'll let you know if its raspy.

 

Im suppose to pick up a Spintech catback with 4inch pipe and pacesetter LTs. I want a deep sound at idle and accel, but i want it to scream at WOT. is this the right one to go with?

 

Mine sure does. Its a nice deep sound at idle and roars when on it. I have highflow cats too.

 

I think all the sound clips of my combo had a cam which will alter the sound

Anyone else have any opinions?

 

If a cammed car doesn't have rasp with the set up, you won't either.
