SLP Cold Air Intake

Hi, i have a 2002 slp ss, I have the slp air box and blackwing installed from the factory. Anyway I have been looking at adding the slp maf and the slp smooth bellows and along with that I plan on putting on the slp cold air intake.

SLP Cold-Air Induction Package - 1998-02 V6/V8 Camaro/Firebird [SLP21033] - $129.95$120.46 : MarylandSpeed.com- Your First Stop on the Way to Performance!

Anyway my question is how exactly is that cold air intake installed?

Thanks for the help

Re: SLP Cold Air Intake

remove the airlid and filter. the aluminum part that looks like a duct, slides down parallel with the radiator (points at the ground). to draw cold air that hasn't been heated by forcing it through the radiator.

look at the supersucker ram air instead, or SSRA. IMO it works better since it draws air form much lower and away from the engine heat. BUT, you have to be carefull if you live where its very rainy, or around puddles. dont want water in the motor. (it comes with a block off plate for this reason).

the above link isn't a vendor recommendation, just an example of what it looks like.

Re: SLP Cold Air Intake

The MAF and bellows are a waste of money. They will not make any additional power. Spend elsewhere.
