I think I found a *good* deal here... 10K for an 01 Z28. Leather, t-tops, asr, etc... but it has almost 83K miles. It has a Flowmaster catback (bleh) and a lid. I can't tell anything else from the pics. It looks in really good shape though. It's from Texas and is a one owner. I put a deposit on it, but i'm just kinda worried about the miles. What do you all think?

 

I wouldn't worry about 83k miles as long as there are maintenance records it was probably highway with that many on an 01.

lets see 10 grand for 01 plus 6 if the engine goes = 16grand for an 01 sounds like a good deal to me

just as My84Z said... i'm thinking if there is anything wrong, it's the motor or the rear, which i'd want to mess with anyway. All the better excuse to get a 12 bolt and heads/cam I just don't want to be pissing with the little things like window motors, interior trim, etc... that'll start to **** me off. I also don't want to get this car home and not be able to drive it because it's a mess. Anyway, here's the link to their autotrader ad...

I decided to go ahead and get the money for it anyway. So either way, i'm getting this car shipped to me up here in PA. Anyone want to reccomend a good car shipper?

You could always go with the Lingenfelter $6895 package that will then include a 2 year/24K mile warranty and bump you up to 420 HP

 

I love how the ad says and 82k miles ONLY.

 

With that many miles it must be freeway usage, the car was probably loafing most of the time. Should be OK, still that is alot for an '01. I just turned 8K on my '02, I am trying to keep the miles low on this "last of it's breed".

 

I'm probably just going to run bolt on's until it the motor really needs pulled. Then i'll just run the car back down to Texas to MTI and have them do a full rebuild with heads and cam and a tune. I'd like low 11's n/a with that... Who knows. I just need to get rid of that flowmaster catback and throw on the Corsa and get rid of those 16's

 

looks like a nice car...i'd buy it but thats only my opinion and its ur money
