Sealing Airbox w/ FTRA

I bought the kit used, and it did not come with the gasket or weatherstripping that was used to seal up the box. I have read that the weather stripping is 5/8 in width and that I can pick it up at Wal-Mart. There is also a black gasket that seals the inside of the lid I believe, and FT's said I could order that from them. However, is there a better way to seal up this entire unit for max vacuum than using the instruction methods? I don't want to tape the outside of the box though do to appearance, but would be open to anything else! Thanks.

I went out and bought some foam weather stripping and regular weatherstripping...
