RWHP Gain fro a Cat-Back

I was looking upgrade to a SLP Cat-Back, what kind of a gain do most see when replacing the stock exhaust?

10 at the least probably...and about 15 max with something like the loudmouth or tsp rumbler which are basically straight pipes.

Generally about 10. You should try to plan your mods also. If you are thinking about adding headers later, be sure to consider that in the exhaust you buy now.

have never personally heard the RT catback. i'm sure it sounds good.

and addition of a cutout (single works fine for most cars) to just about any exhaust is smart...can't hurt to have and extra 5-7hp at the track (with noise).

how do cut outs work that aren't electric? how would i cover them up?

I gained 16RW with our Rumbler. I didn't run a cutout, just because the exhaust is pretty much straight through with nothing to hinder flow. A standard cutout will have a cap with three wing nuts and when you want to open it up just unscrew the wing nuts and pull the cap off.

You couldn't pay me to run a cut-out. IMO cars like ours deserve a nice deep lightly muffled exhaust tone.

I agree that I like the sound of a good catback, but when I'm at the track I like the fact that in less than 2 minutes of work I've got an extra 12RW or so just by opening the cutouts.
