is removing the torque management on the LS1 A4 trans a good thing to do?

i was wondering if removing the torque management is a good thing to do? will this increase power? if this gets removed will it hurt the transmission? how many here with A4 LS1's removed their torque management? also exactly what does this torque management do for the transmission?
