rear shocks
rear shocks
OK, I am getting really bad squeeking from my rear shocks any time I go over any sort of bump or rock in the road... Do the shocks just need lubing or replacing? and if just lubing.. can I do it myself? using what? and how?
thanks...
thanks...
If it is the panhard bar (bar that runs right behind the axle) you can take the bolts out and coax it out. Then use a heavy grease inside of the bushing holes. All of the GM rear bushings are rubber with a metal sleeve so after awhile it is metal on metal.
If the control arm bushings are the culprit just hose them with WD40 or something like it. They are a pain to get to.
