Whenever the car gets warmed up and is idling under 800 rpm the car makes this sound that sounds like a bad bearing from hell. So I took it in to the dealer not knowing what the heck this sound was and they said it was a whistle in the intake manifold and there is a recall but there is no solution yet. They said they have fixed it on corvettes but not on f-bodies. Is this true? Do I have to listen to this sound until they fix it? Its a '01 WS6

 

They better fix that **** somehow if its under warranty, add a new intake or whatever else....

 

I often get a really loud, annoying screaming sound when I put my right foot down. It seems to be coming from the passenger seat area.....oops. That would be my wife. Sorry.

 

Well, they were going to do it under warranty, but they said there is no fix available so they said I am SOL until GM comes up with something
