It only gets excessively loud when you "get on it." Cruising rpms don't cause the system to drown out the interior. Granted it will be louder, but it won't be really loud until you raise the rpms.

It's not too horribly loud...but if you find it is, turn the radio up and talk louder.

In a word NO. Its not too loud at all actually. I can drive with windows down radio on and still talk to my passenger in a normal tone. People who find it too loud will find any exhust over stock too loud. Its just the way some folks are

I've heard stories of how the loudmouth has very bad interior drone at about 2000 rpm's. That's not a big deal for the M6's but the A4's might have some trouble with that on the highway. However you can always replace the resinator with a dynomax bullet muffler.

I would personally just recommend a cutout or dynomouth instead but if you get the loudmouth and find it too loud there is always the option of replaceing the resinator with a bullet muffler for about $100.00 parts and labor.

Good Luck

Wink

Whether an exhaust is loud or not pretty much comes down to one's personal preferences.

The best way for you to tell whether it is too loud or not is to try to get a ride in a car equipped with one or install one and see it afterwards.

If you don't like it, there are always people wanting/selling LM's in the For Sale/Wanted section,.
