Question Question about buying used lid

I'm buying a clear lid from LS1 Motorsports off a guy I met at the car show saturday. He said he had everything that goes with the lid except for the filter that goes on the tube coming out of the right side of the baffles. What is this tube and where can I get a filter to go on it?

The later model F-bodies had a tube comming from the right into the stock lid. Aftermarket lids do not have provisions for this tube. You will need a small filter to sit on this tube. Just call any of the major sponsors and tell them what you are doing and they'll know exactly what you need. I think the part is only about $15 or so.

I went into a car parts store in South Carolina and picked up an APC air filter.. fit perfectly.. and it tucks next to the housing beside the radiator. I only use it when I dyno... other than that, i perfer the car to be silent.. good luck with your lid, and check the edges for fine cracks as that was the only bad thing about the clear lids.. they tend to crack.
