QTEC Question

Does anyone have a QTEC (Quick Time Electric Cutout)? If so, where do you run the switch? I know a lot of people are putting it in the ashtray, but I don't want to go this route. My Z doesn't have traction control, so I was thinking of running the QTEC to this now vacant hole (it has a filler there now). Does anyone see any problems with the wiring? I know it will be more to take a part with the dash and all, but any other complications?

I was also planning on getting a factory switch to put there as well, not a cheap switch. This way everything will still look very clean.

Let me know what you guys think!!

Thanks

I have a Qtec. I put the switch below the swing out cup holder
on the console.
The switch is pretty thick. If it will fit in the panel go for it.
Beware the inline fuse will be back behind the panel and a pain to get to. If you put the switch where I put mine you could gain acess to the wire and fuse by lifting the leather boot off around the shifter(if you have a six speed car) or lay it on the side if you have a auto. Use the 12vdc power AUX in the console to power the Qtec. Also PM me if your insterested in getting a faster motor to open the Qtec. I replaced the slow 4 second motor with a fast
better quality 1 second Pitman motor. I triggered the Qtec off the WOT switch for my NOS. When I sprayed and mashed the pedal the Qtec opened, let off it closed. Ron
