ptv clearance questions

I'm thinking of getting the Patriot ported 243s with the f13 cam. Valves will either be 2.08,1.6 or 2.02,1.6. Will I have ptv issues? Flycutting reqired? How much milling and what size head gaskets to use? I think I'm aiming for around 11:1 compression.

Re: ptv clearance questions

You should contact the maker of the cam (Futural). A 5.3 head will be required to get your CR to 11:1. Chances are, you might have to clearance the pistons. The only real way to be sure is to check PTV when you do the install. It is a little extra work though...

2.08 is ridiculously big. you probably want a 1.575 exhaust valve as well. i doubt anyone would recommend a 2.08 valve on a stock cube application.

PTV is going to be very close if you are aiming for 11:1 with the F13. I would talk to Alan at Futral and see what he has experienced with the cam and milled heads and how much he recommends to flycut (if any)

I've got the F13, and 2.02/1.60 valves. I havent installed, but with heads milled .02" and stock gaskets i shouldnt have PTV problems, and everyone says 2.02/1.60 are perfect, anythign bigger doesnt help
