Problems w/ a whisper lid

I just got a carbon fiber whisper lid, looks great! The problem I have is that it fits too tight, I think. The left clamp keeps coming undone, it wont stay clamped down!! Anyone else w/ this problem?

Re: Problems w/ a whisper lid

Make sure the lid is pushed back far enough in the tabs, and the upper lip of the lid is behind the lower lip of the airbox assembly. Mine isn't carbon fiber but I had the same issue when I first got it.

That is your problem. They do fit very tight.

Re: Problems w/ a whisper lid

I also got a Carbon Fiber Whisper lid last week and I thought it would take like 5 minutes to install, but I was trying to make it fit for like 30 min. None of the tabs would fit and the clips didn't hold.

I just left it on there like that for a week and tried it again. This time it was easier, the tabs fit and the front lip fit. The clips didn't tighten up, but I just left them over the lid just in case it happens to come loose(which I highly doubt)

Maybe the heat makes it a bit flexible.
