Porting & Polish Mass air sensor

Should I do it? The people at install university said they felt a definite SOTP gain. I am just worried about getting detonation before redline. I use 93 octane most always, if not 89 is used, if that matters. Does anyone have anyexperience with doing this??
Thanks,
Clint Smith

Don't do it. Gains are negligable, and it has the chance of really messing things up.

Okay, I kinda decided not to do it after reading some horro stories. Mabey Ill swing by the junk yard and see if they have one. That way if it messes up, Ill switch back to my stock one.

Ask around. I got a set of OEM MAF ends for $30 or so after someone here upgraded to aftermarket ends.

That way, I had a set to port, and a set to keep stock. The ported didn't really do much for me. Right now, I'm actually running the stock front half, the screen, and a ported rear half.

Track times tonight should tell .... but I think the MAF housing is pretty much a waste.
