Patriot Gold dual spring package
Patriot Gold dual spring package
i'm contemplating a cam swap, (probably something similar to tr224), but due to lack of cash, i have to keep the stock heads. I was thinking of changing the springs to the patriot gold dual springs. Is there any head modifications needed for these to work? I noticed that some of the other dual springs need some.
thanks for any advice

Re: Patriot Gold dual spring package
with only .56x lift...you probably don't need to get the duals. i would stick with the CC918s...they are good for a bit over .600" lift and are cheaper than the duals.
if your lift was closer to .600" i would say definatly do the duals.

Re: Patriot Gold dual spring package
For the price of 918's, you might as well get the Patriot golds and at teh least have the peace of mind of double springs. The Ti retainers will help with spring life and they'll flat last longer than 918's before needing to be replaced. If you get Ti retianers for the 918's you'll spend more $ than if you just got the PG kit. Plus you can benefit from the newer low profiles and run a 224-228 with more lift than the old TR224.
And the do drop right in. Patriot Golds are what I'm running. Cam is a 226/226 .590/.590 112
