patriot cyl head failure

Welcome to my nightmare. I didnt want to post this on the other sites Im a member of. I have had my patriot ls6 heads on my car for about 3000 miles. My car is a daily driver. within this time I noticed the car felt slower and slower. I thought it was my imagination, finally I had a major failure cuased by an ex. seat falling out and detroying my motor. I had the heads checked by a shop that said the seats were all shifting, some sunk and some others ready to fall out. I was asked if I ever overheated the motor, I never did but told them about the welded chambers which was determined to be the cuase of failure. They say the welding changes the metals properties making it weak and pourace. Here is a photo my cousin snapped for me. I dont know if I am the only one to have such problems with the heads but all I know is I have a brand new car that has a destroyed engine.

The link doesn't work. That really sucks what happened. But why didn't you post it on the other boards you are a member of?

You should really think about posting that over at LS1Tech. There's tons of people over there who would be interested in seeing that.

You should post it up on other boards.
Have you talked to them about this at all?

You're right, Terry is kinda shady when it comes to things like this. It all just depends on who you are. If you are a high-profile message forum user, then he'll more than likely do whatever it takes to make you happy, because he knows that people who are well known across the various boards can spread the word fast. But unfortunately, if you're not very well known across the boards, there's a good chance he will tell you tough luck. It's really unfortunate that it happens like that, but that's usually how it is.

Best of luck to ya, and when and if ya even need a new set of heads, shoot me a PM or e-mail, I'll fix Terry's wrong

I am going to have the heads looked at by other race shops and maybe even brodex. The shop I had check them out is a very well known and talented race machine shop/ engine builder here in north carolina. I can assure that they know what they are talking about. After I have a few opinions I will contact Terry at patriot to get full compensation. I have also recieved about 5 pm's from guys with similar problems with there patriot heads

If you don't want it posted on another site then why do you want it posted here? Why is it ok to post it here but not somewhere else? If you have a problem with Patriot Heads then why didn't you contact them first? Instead of bashing a reputable company and hurting their business why didn't you contact them first then report that you had the problem and what the company was doing about it? Most people will read your post and ASSUME that Patriot makes bad products. You are damning them before you have all the facts. How do we know that you didn't overheat your engine and cause the damage yourself? I really have questions about your motive for posting here. Of course your post here was posted by another person on LS1tech.com almost immediately and was three pages long there when I last checked.
