Flow Tech Headers
Flow Tech Headers
I was just looking on ls1speed.com and seen some headers from flow tech that were only $379 coated only like $10 more than pacesetter. Has anyone heard anything about these as far as quality or fitment issues? I was goign to buy some pacesetters with tax return but now I dont know.
These are bascally the same as Hooker (made by sister Co.) and they are just now gonna start hitting speed inc. We'll have to wait a few weeks for the first few peeps who bought them to get them delivered, installed and post reviews.
This was a brilliant move when you think about it. Hooker headers used to be the economy buy for those on a budget. Most people say you shouldn't skimp when it comes to mods but lets face it the "economy" parts have a big market. A lot of people will run TCI or midwest instead of Yank and a lot of folks ran Hooker instead of Kooks, FLP, ect.
Then Pacesetter comes along. Now hooker headers are no where near the best "bang for the buck" since Pacesetter coated were so much cheaper. They also were not the top of the line because you still had the big name ones out there taking all thier normal business. Basically pacesetter took a lot of potential Hooker customers away. Now they have leveled the playing field. If they (in the form of a sister Co.) can make a LT header for the same or close to the same low price of Pacesetter they can get some of that business back. If they can make them fit and install easier then pacesetter then they will take a lot of that business back.
I myself was all set to buy Pacesetter for the price but if these perform as well and are easier to install then I'm going to get flow techs instead.
