Owners of Firestone Firehawk's

I'm considering purchasing a set of Firehawks.

How long have they lasted for you? And what's your driving style?

Thanks for your feedback.

My dad has them on his 95 Caprice, 225/70/15 I believe. They look awesome and has had them for 12k miles and they still have over 80% tread. Traction is great both wet and dry. The stock tires used to spin like mad when break torquing the car, these hook as soon as you take your foot off the break during a break torque. They are awesome tires for what they are. The optional white lettering is pretty cool too. Even though they were 15s my dad still got a good deal on them. I think he paid $310 for the whole set.

That's pretty good.

The local Ted Wiens Firestone quoted me $673 for four tires, balancing and all that mumbo jumbo included.

I compared that price with TireRack's, and adding in mounting, and shipping, and it would cost me around $698

Looks I will be going with Firehawks

Thanks for the input.

I had Firehawk SS20s on my Grand Prix and they were alright. They gripped the road really good, but with only about 25,000 miles on them, they were starting to wear out pretty fast. They were just under $400 out the door.
