Owd to the LS1, got mine back today!!

i love my SS, i went and ordered a new grill for it being all excited i knew something would go wrong just to screw me up. Well it did, i was getting bad grindage in my 2nd gear. well i took my car in. man oh man the 2nd gear syncros was all jacked a long wih multiple other things screwed in it. well GM had my car for 3 weeks {uncovered and getting dirty as heck the whole tiem] but they rebuilt the tanny under warranty. while my car was in the shop they put me up in a pontiac sunfire, it was the biggest POS. im 18 and i want my camaro SS. well finally i got the ls1 back on friday and i forgot how nice and powerfull she is. guys just remember what we have under our hoods and appreciate it because V6 pontiac sunfire suck. oh yeah i just washed her and put on new badges and a new grill man its soo nice. love your car.

thanks for listening, sorry to bore

Think thats bad, i needed a suspension cause the old one gave. Took it to the dealer, took them over 2 months to fix. Everyday I had to call, ask, visit, pass by and watch as the car sat there w/o anyone working on it. Nobody was near it. Took them about 4 weeks to get started. Do you know how pissed off I got, since it was under warranty I couldnt take it elsewhere. Im 17 and love my baby. So I got shoved into a 94 Safari van for over 2 months, that sucked, i woulda gladly taken a Sunfire for those two months opposed to that van. Of course words cannot describe my anger about how long it took to get my car fixed.

Just be thankful that you've got a nice *** car like that. Some of us would cut off our brother's hand for one.

If the car is in the shop for two months... for warranty repairs...

Is there anything you can do to try to get them to pay the two monthly payments, or any kind of compensation?

Is there anything contractual with GM that says they need to take care of warranty repairs within XXX amount of time?

Will they pay for the rental at least?

they paid for the rental and thats about all. However what pissed me off was not the two months that it took, but the fact that it took them over 1 month to get started on it as it just sat there in their lot untouched and not worked on. This also happened a week after I bought the car. So I went around driving a van and had to hear "nice Camaro" from everyone I knew. Im just glad that my car is back and boy is it fast. It just feels faster after driving that van for 2 months. Just tapping the pedal i retain the sense of power the van couldnt provide while flooring it.
