Got my flowtech coated longtubes with coated off road ypipe FINALLY. Im sure im not the only one who was on backorder for that ypipe. Anyway There is this trashy lookin mechanic place that my friend discovered and someone recommended i talk to him about installing my headers. He quoted me $125 which kind of scared me since I've heard ridiculous prices for header installs. Well he put them in today in 3 Hours!! They sound beastly, I run longtube headers to ORY to open cutout and it's not unbearable to me. I gave him 150 and told him to keep the change. The tires definitely chirp hard into 2nd gear now. The noise isn't too bad if you shift at 2k rpm, but when you stomp on it it's the most insane thing i've ever heard. And that's coming from someone who had a cutout. Anyway, ypipe came a little bent but fit perfectly he told me. And the headers were top quality and shiny. All in all I'm another happy flowtech customer.

 

3 hours nice! and 150 bucks is nothing for a header install

 

I have headers, an ORP and a cutout and I LOVE the sound. I NEVER close the cutout. BUT now that I have a cam...I think I have to close it. Its rediculously loud now. Althought I thought I would never say it, but I cant even talk on the phone with the windows rolled up in 6th gear. I just cant hear anything.

 

you guys are retarded. i have the same setup (flowtechs, ory and cutout) and that **** is wayyyyyyyyy to loud. i never open the cutout. id get pulled over in 10 secs. also the tone just sounds obnoxious. I think it sounds like **** with it open. makes the car sound like a white trash pickup truck.

 

So because they like something that you don't that makes them retarded? You sound like a 12yr old, get off mommy and daddys computer and go ride your bike son.

 

I am sorta new to the LS1, but have done a few header installs on LT1s (Both LT and Mids) .
But is the LS1 that much easier that it can be done in 3 hours?

I've NEVER heard of such a fast install...most people are ecstatic with a 6 hour process. I took it there at 8 am and 11:20 or so he called and said it was ready.
