I was wonder if you accidently started your car with no oil in it if the computer would record that you started your car with no oil?

I know your computer tells you when you have low oil. So when your low oil light comes on is it recored that you had went low on oil?


I know 02 z28 has the oil life monitor so the computer has to be recording something about the oil.

I know I am going to get people asking me why I am asking this. So before you ask all I have to say is im an idiot :-(

 

I don't think it would know the difference between low oil and no oil and if it was on for just a second the car probably wouldn't even have time to figure it out.

 

Man , I might have taken that one to my grave. I hope you had been using Mobil 1, or some good synthetic oil. How many miles you have on it since this happened? just curious. hope it's O.K.

 

wait, if low oil comes in, the comp records it?!

hmm... happened to me other day, then got oil changed.... will p*ss me off if it does... although its still good... and i highly doubt ill ever seel car, but still!!!1
