Re: Official LS7/ Z06 Pics

FWIW guys, I was looking a pics of current C5 'Vettes, and the MAF is located ahead of that "elbow" going into the TB, so the picture you see of the LS7 is correct (don't worry, GM didn't forget about the MAF sensor!!). Just thought I'd clear that up!

...oh and BTW, don't know if anyone caught that show "Rides" last night, but they did a feature on a car built by Jay Leno (and his team) that they showed at SEMA.....it was a 1966 Olds Toronado, powered by a --- please sit down if you're not already --- 1000 HP, TWIN TURBO, LS7 . GM sorta "donated" the engine to Leno's cause.

Technical, schmechnical! I meant "current" as in "currently available" (you can still buy brand-new, non-current 2004 C5's thanks) vs a 2006 Z06 which is still only a "nice thought" on paper.

Was it an ls7??? I caught the end of the show and saw the motor, notice the intake right away but just figured it was an ls2. NICE either way.

Yep, they said a "425 cubic inch engine, currently not available in any GM vehicle, but under development for future use" . They didn't say "LS7", but what other LS-style 425 does GM currently have in development?!
