First off....
How did you gut the converter?
If you unbolted one side and tried breaking all of it up then your problem could be that a chunk of ceramic or wire is stuck in the muffler or has damaged the 02 sensor while clogging the pipe.

Im just grasping here , but it could happen.
Check to make sure because a clogged exhaust would indicate what you said.

i gutted the cat's by cutting the cats off and tearing out the inside...all of it. VERY little was left. i checked the codes set and they consist of Bank2 pos1 low voltage. and bank2 pos2 no activity. so the passenger side 1st O2 is setting a code with the rear O2 sensor on the pass. side. the car was running great before the mod. now like crap. thanks

Randy,
Whats wierd is that the rear oxygen sensors are emmisions related only and will not make the car run bad or put fuel into the exhaust.
I had a 97 TA and gutted mine before the 02 simmulator fix was readily availible and it kept a code.It still ran fine.

If anyone would care to help Randy out with some info then I would like to hear also.
Good luck bud and let us know.

Later
Mike

yes i did put them on the rear O2 sensor. i wish that was only the cause. my programer and i think that with my programing he did (lean at throttle 10% or less for gas milage) to make it lean my exhaust beingcompletely hollow, that the computer is not sure what is going on. we tried to fix it be programing and we got this message, "Exceeding Global Limits" that can't be good! then the car died. so i'm just gonna get carsound cats and be done with it. thanks for all the help guys.
