No Cats? Just wondering!

Would an off road y-pipe no cats to stock manifolds effect gas milage? just curious, thanks!

NO...lack of cats and the associated SES light has no affect on the running condition of the engine.

with a lack of back pressure there is a possibility of increased mileage

I got better highway and city mileage, the highway mileage is above 30 now with the LT's and ORY, but I don't know that this is because of the exhaust specifically and not the tune I got done. I did notice a slight improvement in city mileage and a good (4-5 mph) improvement in highway mileage. I think it's going to vary based on the tune you get.

I live in Texas. I was wondering if i get rid of the cats and put a off road pipe could i pass the emissions test if they did not look and see that i did not have cats?

If they have a sniffer test, then i'd imagine it would pick up the higher emissions and then they'd see that you're missing cats.
