If you don't get an adjustable one, I was told you want to at least do the drill mod.

I replace the slave every time I replace the clutch, don't think a master is needed, but for a heavy duty clutch like that it's possible.

Re: new mastercylinder needed with clutch change?

I have the spec III and left the stock master in there. If I had to do it again though, I'd buy an adjustable master...right now, it engages way too high (the pedal) for my liking. You can always take a chance and just leave the stock one in...and if you don't like it, then buy the McLeod.

Since you have a '99, I'd definitely replace the slave with an '01-'02.

Oh and if you do replace the master, make sure you've got someone else there to help you...that U-bolt is a PITFA.
