Congratulations on your new car and for going American. I'm a former wanna-be from the F&F class. My only regret is not coming over sooner. I LOVE my '01 Z28 and its motor is awesome! Treat your pewter beauty (great color, BTW) right: respect her daily but allow her to run now and again like the thoroughbred she is.
New mindset: you now own/drive a musclecar. The biggest diff b/t it and your former car is that the musclecar is already "built"; the rice rockets, etc have to "be built". My first inclination was to go get every weekend warrior bolt-on (like I did with the Integra). I would caution you to thoroughly research the pro's and con's to altering your LS1 severly. Except for tires/wheels, air intakes and the like, many feel that cracking into the motor, swapping heads, etc can actually reduce the value of the car. Sure, you can build a MONSTER with these engines, but is it worth it when you've already got 320+ hp??? Your call; just my $.02 worth...
But congrat's again on driving/owning American muscle, for supporting U.S. economy, and for joining the forum here!!!
Regards,
Daryl

DS01Z28, yes the LS1 responds great with just bolt ons but that isn't enough with those 03 Cobras prowling the streets. Personally I would hate to run into a bolt on 03 with stock internals or without N20. With the aftermarket the LS1 will remain competitive for a long time so to the original poster I say choose your mods wisely.
