Needle bearings in oil

Allright, This is not exactly an F-body but it's an LS2 6.0L from a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD. I went and had my oil changed today and they found 6 of these things in my oil when they drained it. It looks like a needle bearing, question is, what could this be from?

Any ideas would be helpful. It's my work truck so I'll just run it into the ground but I would like to know what it is

Can't tell the size by the pic, but the number of them leads me to believe it's from a rocker. Is it out of warranty?

It is about 1/4" long, I don't know anything about the LS2, does it have roller rockers standard? Rockers have these needle bearings?

Yes it is out of warranty. Warranty is 35K and it has 41K. I've already had to have the company replace the battery as it died at 38K.

Don't know anything about the LS2 either. 1/4" needle bearings in an LS1 would be a rocker for sure. Usually they're found atttached to the magnetic drain plug.

They said when the drained the oil they just drained out with it. This doesn't appear to be magnetic.

No there isn't any noises coming from the motor yet.

So if the roller rocker and roller lifter has needle bearings, we'd be talking about the bearing that goes through the center of the wheel for it to roll on yes? If so then I have possibly SIX rockers/lifters these have come out of? Wow, no wonder people stay away from american

I'll have to keep an ear out for that then when it warms up a bit to be outside and listen. I haven't heard anything but I'll listen carefully next time, that's not good though. That means a few of my lifters are going south. At least it's not mine, soon as it goes **** up I'll have the company tow it to the dealer and they can put in new heads or engine or whatever they want. I picked this thing up in March with 13 miles on it. Now I have 41K. Yes yes, I drive alot for work

Well my truck may not have a magnetic oil plug, but that picture is exactly what it looks like. So I guess my truck is going to die soon, hopefully it doesn't leave me stranded somewhere hahah

Yikes! If I saw that I'd be ripping off the valve covers rights away for some preventative maintenance to save the motor somehow.

This would be true if it was my Vehicle. But this is under a fleet Maintenanace plan and I just don't have the time to be out of work for the week while the dealer fixes it. Plus messing around with Lease Plan is a big pain in the ***.
