Aren't they required to give you a rental while it's getting fixed? I would definitely try to get it taken care of very soon.

Really don't know what they are required to do. i do know that the kind of work I do a standard rental aint going to cut it. I carry a few hundred pounds of tools, drive through snow ice mud hours of dirt road to get to the sites, that kind of crap. But I'll probably call them today or tommorrow and see what they want to do.

Looks like it came from the rocker to me...pull the valve covers off.

If he does that it'll probably void his warranty, just take it in and let them fix it. Maybe they can provide you with another truck in the mean time?

Dropped it off at the Dealer today. It'll be a few days before they look at it they say, I did get a rental, 08 toyota Highlander. Definatly NOT a 2500 HD

And ya the highlander is a piece of ****, can't wait to take out on the first slushy muddy snowy icey roads I drive on, cause when it gets stuck i'll tell them i told them so haha

The rocers are roller fulcrum and that's where the needles come from. There's a steel cup on each end of where the needles are and that comes loose lettng the needles come out.

6 needles could be from just 1 rocer.

Talked to the dealer today, They said it's bearing material from my rockers so are rebuilding the top end of my engine next week when the parts come in

I miss my truck. This highlander is a piece of crap
