Need a quick question answered.. please
Ok well its late at night and I don't really feel like going outside and looking but.. does anyone by chance know what size pipe a 2001 Camaro SS would have? Coming from the manifolds I mean, it is 3" or 2.5"?
Was going to buy a new muffler online, but wasn't quite sure.

I thought our exhaust was 3-inch and it only necks down to 2.75 where it meets the y-pipe? That would explain why the system on my new car leaks if your right Al.
To answer your question (even though I think flowmaster sux), get the 3 inch and then you can by a 3in-to-2.75in reducer to make it fit better.

As to you muffler comments. Ditto, don't get a Flomaster and get a 3" whateverothermufflerintheworld.

Was on LS1.com at it's beginning when I could go read all the new posts in an hour. Was on LS1tech thru all 3 of it iterations. I didn't modify the SS too much and turned it back to stock when the wife bought it from me. But if you look at the sig my Formy is far from stock. I've done all of the work on my carr so when I say something is something I'm usually speaking from direct experience. Not just passing on somebody elses "I thinks".

Not really second guessing you there Al. Just more surprised that I didn't know that one already. Been an LS1 owner since '99 myself. Went through a couple iterations too.
