bolt ons
bolt ons
What bolt-ons will be necessary to run a 220/220 .563/.563 112 (SE1 220 Cam)?? Also, will I have problems with the law if I put true dual X-pipe on a DD?? I know it's illegal but will they pull me over for being to loud? I don't need to give tem another reason to pull me over
Thanks
Thanks
Re: bolt ons
The only thing you'll "need" is some new valve springs and pushrods are known to bend so do those at the same time.... Wouldn't hurt to look into doing an air lid, headers, timing chain while your doing the cam also. If you have any questions feel free to contact us

Re: bolt ons
Usually, if you're behaving the cops will leave you alone. But if you're planning on doing a cam, you need to build up to it. Headers, a lid, a stall and maybe even gears are good before doing any cam. And don't neglect the suspension either. Subframes and lower control arms need to be considered when making a car faster. My point is, it's never "just a cam" swap. Yes, you could run that cam without any bolt-ons. But, don't expect anything over a 20rwhp gain. With the right bolt-ons and a tune, you might be able to get 30rwhp out of that somewhat small cam.
Re: bolt ons
Cam, pushrods, springs, timing chain, oil pump, and tune.
Supporting actors: headers, catback, intake if you have an early LS1, lid, SSRA, ported TB.
Extras: converter (could be necessary with a big cam), gear, sticky tires.
