need ideas

i just got a 2000 ss, it has headers, exhaust w no cats, and the quad tips on the exhaust a 4.10 gear ratio, strut bars, and a short shift kit. Im havin trouble deciding on wut would be the biggest power boost for the best price

thanks

Re: need ideas

Im going nitrous next year. Complete used kits can be had for cheap. I have a budget of 750 for nitrous, and i think it'll work, even with some bells and whistles added. an extra 150hp should hopefully get me flirting with low 11s

If you can do the labor yourself, a nice cam and amybe some 243 heads would put you around 400hp and you would have that power all the time. If you can do the labor yourself, thatd put you around the same price as nitrous.

It depends. Are you going to be using stock heads, stock ported, or aftermarket heads.?

Re: need ideas

Have you already addressed the intake? I'd recommend any brand lid, ported stock throttle body, and an LS6 intake. Leave the stock MAF in place.

Re: need ideas

I would get a custom grind cam specifically for your application

Re: need ideas

IMO, a cam in the upper 220's to low 230's range would work great!
