My friend told me that there is only 2 cams for LS1's, an F1 and a LG, is that true?

Pretty much what the subject said, i disagree but i want some proof, plus is $2,000 good for a cam and install?
2000.00 is way overpriced..
also
Between comp cams, lunati and crane there has to be 30-40ish off the shelf cams.... not to mention the countless combination of custom grinds.. i dont think you could sit down and actually count the different combinations possible..
and yes guys there are way more cams avail. than a thunder 224 or an x1 etc...
your friend is a damn moron

HAHAHA well i was trying to tell him that, even tho i have an LT1 i still know some things, but he just came back and said oh yea there are more kinds, but he is on LS1.com and there is a new LG cam that is suppose to be a bada$$ cam, but i wanted to yalls thoughts. What would yall think the best cam is?
My friend Louis Gigliotti (son of the owner of LG motorsports) just got the new G5X-2 cam....very awsome cam. He used to run the G5X-1. Anyways back to the original question their are alot of cams available for LS1's. I myself since I am on a college student budget and gonna go with the LS1 hotcam kit. Lopes really good with 112lsa
Yea thats the cam that he was talking about. there really isnt a great deal about budget, but i wanted to show him that there are other good cams out there. and thats why i am here asking yall cause, im not to sure the exact names, and where to get them.
There are MANY variables, what RPM you are comforatable reving the engine to? Is emissions a concern? What gears you have? How do you want the car to idle? Are you using any power adders(SC, Turbo, N20) down the road. Call a cam company like COMP, they will ask you quesitons and help you determine what cam is best for you application.
