my A/C exploded, need advice

the AIR pipe on the passenger side moved over enough so that it rubbed / burned a hole through the metal A/C line and it is now venting into the atmosphere (yes, as i type this)

what should i do? is there anything i can do?

the part doesn't look terribly hard to replace, just one bolt at either end. is there anything i should know about or worry about while replacing it?

how is moisture going to affect the system? i'm going to get it fixed within a week at the most i hope. i intend to replace the pipe myself and have a professional put freon back into it.

Re: my A/C exploded, need advice

its empty now so replace the line and pull a vaccum on the system to leak chech and evaporate the moisture and fill with freon and oil. most deffenetly find out why this happened and correct the original problem. i would immagine that freon if it were sprayed on a blazing hot exaust manifold will prouduce a gas called phosene(spelling?) which is highly toxic
