Motor swap in my Trans Am questions?!?!?!
I just did a motor swap of a crate motor LS6, for my LS1, and bolted everything up right, and cranked her over and she ran great, i followed the standard break in procedure and as i was driving it, i got on about 2 miles total driving on the new motor, and i heard a very loud back fire, and the car shut off and rolled to a stop, then i immediately turned the key to off position and started the car, it started great and ran great on the way home, now i parked it in my garage, cause i wanted to find out what the backfire was from, so i turned it off, it ran great no hesitation no nothing before turning it off, and it wont start again, it makes the sound that it makes when you dont have the ignition hooked up and you want to crank it over to check compression, whats the deal is my ignition blown? is my starter dead? i checked my fuses none blown.
well i was just a worry wort it works great now i got about 700 more miles till ill be confident its broken in she has got some mad power you can just feel it and in not even reving it out past 2500 RPM I am only throwing the code for EGR because i deleted it other than that she is running great I did the swap at my house in my garage and its my first one and it turned out great any have any questions i will be happy to answer them on my swap there were a few things that needed to be altered if any of you are planning on doing one maybe i can help here is my e mail frizankls12000@yahoo.com
