missed shift 3-4 ????
Yeah I guess that is kinda fast for a valve job but i did say on the bill 1 valve 3 pushrods and a gasket set. so that is what i figured they put on since that's what was bout. but anways it got done, and no more ticking.

i would hope there would be head bolts as well as they are not re-usable...
honestly i could not see them doing a valve job in less than a day. i have had to do it, and it took me a lot longer than a full 8 hour day. if i am reading it correctly they only had it one night and not even a full 8 hours of service could have been done on it. i know they would be faster than me, but i checked alldata and it said it would take 24 hours of labour. so that is what they woulda billed for and it might have taken a reall good mechanic maybe 6 hours less than that, at the most. the times just don't add up.
oh well thats my $.02, but if it works and the sounds are gone than i guess it's all good

Knowing GM dealerships they may very well have replaced 1 valve on one head and lapped it in. You could pull one head, throw a valve in it, and reassemble the motor with new pushrods in a day easily.
