Re: misfire

It's most likely a bad plug or plug wire.

Re: misfire

listen i got the same problem with my 99 z 57k. i took it to two different places to have it ran on there machines both said # 7 misfire. they told me plugs wires. changed it, same thing happened went and bought a new coil, same thing. had it put on a machine again, they said it was a dead short in the alternator. took it off had it cheacked it was still good, put it back i was pissed. took it to the dealer to have it fixed they told me i had pluged fuel injectors they did a fuel system flush and it got better but still had the miss so they took em out and they were still pluged. so i am ordering a set of fuel injectors from fast hopefully that will fix it i think they were like $300 for the set so not to bad. but i would take it to a dealer to have it cheacked cuz by the time i payed the shops the run it on their machines i payed $150 plug another $150 for plugs and wires that i didn't really need but they are nice. i only paid $150 for the dealer to run it on there machine and flush the fuel system so i know thats all clean.

Re: misfire

no need to go crazy on the plug wires.

some $45 taylor spiro-pro wires work fine, and get some tried-and-tested NGK tr55 plugs for $2 each.

see if that helps.

if not, swap the coils around

then try swapping the injectors around.

if the miss moves cylinders than you know you have a problem with whatever you changed.
