MAF Translator and Timing tuner
MAF Translator and Timing tuner
Has anyone used these parts from speed inc. They seem like they would work and you would be able to tune on the go without LS1 edit or HP tuners or any other programs. Just seeing if anyone has used them.

they are like the four items down the page.
Also will these work with after market cams that require ecu tuning or are these just as good?

Re: MAF Translator and Timing tuner
The timing tuner works great for nitrous cars as you can back off timing when the gas is active.
The MAF translator only makes bulk changes. It would probably help with car with full intake and exhaust. But to tune for a cam you need to change literally hundreds of tables.

Re: MAF Translator and Timing tuner
Not what he said. There's nothing that'll take place of a tuning package like EFI Live or HPTuners. But for those running nitrous, the timing tuner comes in handy so that you can run more timing off the bottle and have it retard timing when the bottle is used.
MAF translators are ok for more mild cam setups on M6 cars. It'll help get your fueling dialed in. But, it can't cure idle issues, surging issues, stalling issues, etc.
