Sometimes my transmission won't come out of 4th gear. It usually happens only when I come to a stop. And it only happens in 4th gear. In the past few weeks I have missed 4th gear and grabbed 2nd a few times, I wonder if that's the cause. I have a Spec Stage II clutch and it was installed 6 months ago..

I suspect you broke some dogs off the syncro and/or bent the shift fork/rail assembly. Always hard to tell until you get it open, though.

If you have it R&R'ed, I'd buy the parts mailorder from D&D Performance.

My GM trans tech bud and I just finished the t56 rebuild today.
We installed all D&D parts plus the 3/4 fork. I think your blocker and syncro are bad. Maybe the spring that holds the 3 dogs popped out. Your pads are most likley worn (at least a bit). I doubt the 3/4 is bent but you may want to go with the chrome steel part from D&D. Hardest part of getting the trans out was the Not so quick
"Quick disconnect" for the hydraulic clutch and the tranny moving around on the 2 1/2 ton floor jack.
